King’s Trust – Achieve Programme

The King’s Trust Achieve programme is a flexible personal development programme open to members of Roots aged 11-16. Learners receive support from our staff at every stage to achieve key skills and gain a King’s Trust qualification.

The Achieve programme is designed to support and empower students who may need additional assistance to succeed in education. It helps learners to develop skills and experience for life, whilst building their confidence to realise their potential.

Our impact – young person case study:

Aaron

QU0TE

The King’s Trust project at Roots is an initiative that provides skills, training and support to young people around independent living. We learn cooking skills, financial support, as well as CV writing, physical and mental health support, and where and when to seek help if we are struggling with anything to do with independence.

Every two weeks we come together and work on these different topics in teams and individually. The support from the staff at Roots is invaluable and the things they teach us are crucial for the development of individual skills and learning.
