Thank you for your interest in supporting
The Roots Foundation Wales
Every child and young person needs support, acceptance and love – roots – to grow and thrive in adulthood. For young care leavers, and children and young people in care – many of whom have experienced significant challenges – this support is even more crucial.
The Roots Foundation Wales provides essential services and activities to hundreds of care experienced children and young people, and their carers, in Swansea and the surrounding area – and a community of love and support led by our team of dedicated staff and volunteers.
How we are funded
Our work is funded entirely by grants and voluntary donations. The money we receive goes towards funding specific projects and initiatives such as our 16+, Supported Accommodation and Growing from the Roots programmes, school holiday activities, residential trips, group support sessions, staffing costs and maintaining the centre itself.
Without the support of grant organisations, fundraisers and donors, Roots could not continue to provide the vital opportunities and community that we do to care experienced children and young people.
There are several ways that you can support Roots to continue our work. You can:
- Fundraise
- Donate through our Just Giving page
- Buy specific items through our Amazon wishlist
- Volunteer with us
- Work with us
- Sign up to our six-monthly newsletter

Thank you to all our kind supporters – we couldn’t do it without you!
